Capslane is built for transcript workflows that run in production.

Webba Creative Technologies created Capslane after operating YouTube transcript extraction inside a real video product. The service is deliberately focused on one contract and its failure cases.

Why Capslane exists

Gems needs transcripts to analyze videos and prepare new creative work. Existing providers added cost and another dependency without removing the need to handle missing captions, transient failures and long-running generation jobs. Capslane brings those paths into one controlled service.

How it is operated

The platform first checks a shared transcript cache, then tries available YouTube captions. When the selected mode permits it and no usable captions exist, a separate worker downloads the audio and produces timestamped segments locally. Native extraction remains available while longer jobs run.

The public contract, request limits and known errors are documented. Reliability claims are only published with a dated corpus and reproducible method.
